All in all, it's quite clean and new, it has WIFI internet it's near some big super markets.

1: the walking distance from the Narita JR train station is NOT 10 minutes, consider at least 20 minutes. 2: the place is NOT close to the interest points of Narita either. 3: we booked the double private room, which is basically the 4 beds dorm, but reserved all for you: i.e. you have four bunk beds, but two are not used 4: the toilette was not very clean, it was old and the toilette seat, for both male and female, had a strange colth on it, which made me wander how you it was possible to clean that. 5: There is only one shower, which can mean you have to wait your turn for several minutes. I was lucky in this sense because I had a shower early, but the guys next to me had to wait around 30 minutes. 6: you had to pay to use their computers (100 yen, without time limit) 7: you had to pay to use their hair dryer (100 yen if I recall correcly) 8: the guy was not very friendly, at least with us, but this can be subjective. Our experience was bad, we called him, ironically, the "funny" guy. 9: you have to go outside if you want to talk at your phone, even if you do it very silently. I was watching something on my smart phone and talking to my girl friend and the guy invited me to go outside because he thought I was talking to the phone. I said I was talking to my girlfriend and he said I could stay then. I wander what difference it makes. 10: our night was noisy. The place is basically a flat, it has thin walls and you can hear everything: the guy at the entrance watching television till late, all the people coming and going out and chatting loudly. 11: last but not least: the price! we paid the equivalent of a mid-range hotel for a place which was absolutely not worth it. At least this is what we thought. Unfortunately we had to go there because on that day everything was fully booked in Tokyo.

This otherwise excellent hostel was let down severely by the poor attitude of its manager during my stay.

    - Upon arrival the hostel was locked and no notice or explanation had been left on the door. I had to wait in the corridor for 30 minutes before the manager turned up with his lunch and didn't even bother to apologize. - When I asked for a wake up call at 6am to get to the airport on time (a service that every other hostel I've stayed in has provided), the manager told me 'I'll be asleep - you wake yourself up'. - To top it all off, I received a very unpleasant email from the hostel after I had left accusing me of stealing an old guide book from their library 'we have evidence on film' they said. My advice to the hostel is: Replace the manager.

Not far from JR/Keisei train line, clean (just female toilet would deserve little bit more detergent and care), close to the shops, free Wifi, very nice lady I shared my room and experince with:)

Azure Narita could be very pleasant place to stay if... On my arrival at 1 pm guesthouse was closed and there was no one and no note about what time will someone competent come. I had to call on the japanese phone to find out what is going on. The staff/receptionist who came was from the start very rude, nonprofessional and unhelpful. I had injured my leg, nevertheless was sent to the city and come later. In the evening he was watching noisy tv in the common roam, drinking bear and at the and sleeping there. When I came to ask if he has bus timetable from Azure he sent me to the bus stop. I was not the only one who had this unkind feeling from him and we agreed the price absolutelly doesnt worth this kind of experience. (Woman who paid more than one night was said to leave the place at 8am and come back at 8 pm, which is ridiculous). To be honest this was my the only bad experience of jap. Hostels. For all these reasons I can not recommend this place at all and I would never stay there again.
